The Outback trike is based on the current certified Edge X model. It gives the owner 65 HP with it's 583 Rotax dual ignition engine. This coupled with the lightweight instrument binacle allows the pilot to use the Outback in a range of differing terrain depending on the options that are added. The Tundra option allows for landing in harsher than normal terrain than the standard undercarriage. It's an idea that trike pilots in Alaska have been using successfully for years and works a treat on sand. We are yet to offer floats as an option but have trialed the Outback on Krucker floats where it performs very well. Snow ski's are also available to suit the Outback Trike.
The Outback coupled with the Wizard wing is also an excellent choice for a hang glider tug. Also available is the Outback S, which has the same features as the Outback base but comes with the new Streak II wing instead of the standard Wizard wing. The Outback S, because of it's higher landing speeds is not recommended for landing on rough terrain.
